Our Back Yard Camp Out!

We were supposed to head up on Mingus Mountain for an end of the summer campout. We were all packed and ready to go, when Mike called and said he had to work late. The kids were very disappointed when I told them. So we decided to camp in the backyard. The kids have always wanted to sleep out on the trampoline and so they were very excited. Mike felt awful for disappointing them and so when he got home we made sure everything was set up. We put all the sleeping bags on the trampoline and set up our camp chairs. We even had the ice chest out their with drinks and the snacks the kids had picked out to take camping. We had a great time and it is definitley something I will always remember with happy thoughts!

Before it got dark, everyone got a book and read it on the trampoline.

The actual sleeping on the tramp was definitly NOT the most comfy thing. I just kept rolling toward the middle. Poor Carter! He was right in the center. Good thing he enjoys cuddling.

We had everything we needed to roast marshmallows except a campfire. We decided to go in and roast them stovetop.

Of course we had to add a little chocolate for dipping!
